I love the pictures y'all (that's southern for youse guys ;-> picked out! Aunt Pegge's smile was contagious and the perfect description of her - always seeing the bright side of life!

My heart is so heavy because she was the last one of that group of friends. What a friendship our Mom's had, and what a privilege to watch a friendship that lasted generations - through thick and thin; ups and downs. What is a precious gift!

I pray your memories of her will bring a smile to your face and that God will comfort your hearts as you miss her. "May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge," Ephesians 3:17-19.

Love, Gen

I just read about the recent death of Ms. Pegge and I know the Becker family and loved ones have saddened hearts today. So I wanted to share beautiful scripture where our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18), promises us that he is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. I will keep you in my prayers.

My Grandma had the best memory of anyone I knew. I loved sitting on her patio in Stony Brook as we watched the sunset and told me stories of her childhood.
She was so proud of her children, grand children and great grandchildren..always speaking of their accomplishments, but carefully taking her own advice of "it's not nice to brag".
I think I got my travel bug from her, she loved to take trips all over the world. She even took me to Cancun my senior year in high school and encouraged me to socialize and hang out with the other spring breakers. She was a great travel buddy and a pleasant hotel roomie.
She was so generous, always giving me money and tips on which slots to play when I went to Atlantic City with my friends.
I'll miss calling her and the way our conversations flowed with ease, but I'm happy that she gets to see her husband and old friends again.
"She" would freak out if she saw how many times I said "she" in this post.
We all have gained a beautiful guardian angel who will continue to watch out for us just as she has for years.

I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful woman. She always made me feel welcome in her home when I felt I needed a safe place to stay. I tried to make up for it by doing some cleaning and helping Debbie with the lawn. Ohh that fast growing lawn. I learned many things at the Becker's. I observed Debbie cooking and taking care of many chores without having to be asked. She showed me how to cook a few things and taught me about conserving energy as I did not understand why we had to keep the thermostats at a certain temp. Debbie adored her Mom entirely. Peggy would always try to put a smile on my face. She had a fantastic sense of humor, which trickled down to her children because they do too. She had the most beautiful smile that would light up a room and again, all of her children do too. Most of all she had a heart of gold and loved to enjoy life and to celebrate it when ever she could. Thus- same as her children do today. She started out in life with a difficult story and ended her life with a wonderful one; so full of family and abundance of many good things and experiences. She will be dearly missed by many and I am proud to say that I feel blessed to have known her in my life. Sorry to all of her immediate family and friends. I'm sure it is very painful. 🍀 She is soaring high now, like the Eagles. Free from the pain of this earthly plane. Rest In Peace Peg. Love you

Rose Becker (Pegge) was a good friend to me. She was my second mom. I met her in 1974 when I became friends with her son Gary and she was always warm and welcoming. I got to know her even better when I became friends with her daughter Debbie… who is now my wife. She taught me many life lessons, but what I learned most from her is that life can be short and it should be lived, shared and enjoyed at every moment. Pegge overcame great tragedy with the loss of her husband at a young age, but she continued to live life to the fullest. Pegge would adapt and overcome any and all obstacles to provide nothing but a wonderful and loving life for her children. Pegge once told me that I should walk when I can, and run when I must, but to always take time out to enjoy the simplest things as they would one day turn out to be the most important. Pegge was a smart woman. She was my friend, and I will miss her dearly.
