Mr. George D. Ruymen

George D. Ruymen, of Sag Harbor, passed away August 28, 2013 in Port Jefferson at the age of 94. George was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He spent his career as a building Inspector for the City of New York. George was the beloved husband of the late Flora Ruymen. Loving father of James (Eileen) Ruymen of CA; Virginia (John) Wirsing of Deposit, NY; Ayn (Robert) Ross of CA; Gloria (Tom) Taylor of Port Jefferson, NY; George (Cathy) Ruymen of WA; and Michael (Patricia) Ruymen of CA. Cherished grandfather of 18 grandchildren and great-grandfather of more than 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was preceeded in death by a granddaughter, and 4 brothers, Jack, Al, Vic and Gene.
Friends may visit at the Bryant Funeral Home, 411 Old Town Rd., E. Setauket, on Thursday, September 5, 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be Friday September 6 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Committal services with military honors will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
