I loved my godmother! She loved me to the end. It didn't matter how far we were, with her & family in Brooklyn & I in Dallas, TX. She loved everything I. & my family had done. I have a very special angel watching over me and making sure that Armand is taking care of himself. I sent her flowers for Mother's Day & even though my schedule didn't allow me to talk to her--- she called & left me a message. Being a Christian , has helped me knowing & being part of a Jewish family. My 1st visit to Brooklyn, I was 18/19 yrs. I stayed for 4 days-- was helping set the table and I garbed the wrong silverware. As I was about to mix milk & meat-- a big no no. Next time I went to NY, was @ age 30--- my husband & I went for them to meet him & our 5 yr Anniversary. Great visit. Then I went 6 yrs ago to surprise them with my parents, daughter & I. They knew my daughter & I were coming to meet her, but not my parents. They hadn't seen them in 15 yrs.
Was a great trip for my 3 generations my NY family. This visit as short as it was--was able to meet & revisit grand kids I have heard about. --now my nieces & nephew. I was able to be there to say goodbye and hello to my family forever in NY.
I too will miss Sandra and all she taught me.
With much love---Connie
