It is with deep sadness to announce that William “Bill” Barrett passed away, Bill was a husband, father of three children and a grandfather to 7 grand kids. He loved spending time with his family and never missed a family event or party! He was always the first to arrive (sometimes a lil too early-lol) and first to leave-after having his tea and cookies.
He took many trips with his family on cruises and loved travelling abroad. Bill was a big Yankee Fan, loved going to baseball shows for autographs and just had a love for the game! He also was thrilled to work for the LI Ducks for a few years.
Bill Barrett leaves a legacy of being a person that not only gave of himself, but to his family and served his country as a Reservist in the US Marine Corps as wells as a NYPD Detective. Bill protected not only the citizens of New York City but guarded foreign dignitaries, heads of state and even a Pope John Paul. Bill will be always be known by his family as the enthusiastic “Camper Bill”, always so organized and a great planner. Bill will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all others that knew this great man.
Bill would never say goodbye, instead, he would say "I'll see ya, when I see ya"
In lieu of flowers the family asks if you could make a donation to Tunnel to Towers Foundation & Police Relief Fund Emergency Medical Squad
