Stefania Nieckarz

Mt. Sinai, New York- Stefania Nieckarz, age 92, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died peacefully on November, 26, 2022. Born in Poland on January 4, 1930 to the late Genowefa and Daniel Dziekonski, Stefania took great pride in her Polish heritage and traditions and in her family. Her spirit will be carried on by her loving daughters, JoAnn Luppino, Barbara DeMatteo and son-in-law Louis; her treasured sisters, Joanna Ozimek, and Terry Laskos and husband Bob, and her cherished nieces and nephews. She leaves behind the greatest joy of her life, her granddaughter, Dr. Jennifer Luppino and her partner Drew Weibel. Stefania is predeceased by her husband, Alojzy Nieckarz and her brother-in law, Joseph Ozimek.

Services will be held at Bryant Funeral Home in Setauket NY on November 29, 2022 from 3-7pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on November 30, 2022 at St. James R.C. Church in East Setauket at 9:30 am. Stefania will be laid to rest at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale on the same day at 11:30 am.
