Sheldon Krupnick April 2, 1940 – March 4, 2020 Sheldon “Shelly” Krupnick, 79, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 2, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to Carl and Ida Krupnick. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Bruce & Sheila, Kevin, Tara & Jared, Tracy & Joe, and Carly & Tim; and grandchildren, Cara, Emma, Zach, and Jake. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, David. Shelly graduated from Erasmus High School, New York University, and Brooklyn Law School. After a few years in corporate law, Shelly hung up his own shingle and practiced for over 40 years. In addition, Shelly proudly served his country in the U.S. Army reserves. Shelly enjoyed golf, especially at the Cherry Valley Club and the Windham Country Club; tennis; skiing; playing basketball; serving as president on the Windham Mountain Village condo board; cigar smoking; drinking fine wine; reading; traveling (especially by cruise ship); discussing history; and dining out. Above all, Shelly loved spending time with his family. Shelly’s family invites anyone who wishes to pay their respects to do so at his funeral and entombment, which will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020, at 12:00 p.m., at Pinelawn Memorial Park & Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
