Ruth Rositzke

Ruth Rositzke passed away on May16, at age 96.  She was predeceased by Ernie, her husband of 73 years.  They were long-time residents of Stony Brook and Jefferson’s Ferry. 

Ruth was born in 1926, attended Andrew Jackson HS and The Berkley School of Business in New York City.  She worked at the Port Jefferson Junior High School. She was active in the Stony Brook PTA and spent many enjoyable years with the Three Village Garden Club.  Ruth was also involved with the residents’ council at Jefferson’s Ferry.  

Ruth loved the natural beauty of Stony Brook and she especially loved the beaches where she spent many enjoyable hours with her family. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Christine DeAngelo (Lou), Ernest T. Rositzke, Jr. (Lynn) and Karen Rositzke (David Fink).  She is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
