Ronald Alfonso Reyes was a devoted son, husband, father, uncle, friend and Pop Pop. He was so many things in this life. A dreamer, a soldier, an entrepreneur, an insurance broker and finally an author (a dream come true). Most of all he was truly one of a kind. He was magical and touched the lives of whoever he met. He had a crooked smile that radiated sunshine which was followed by an infectious laugh. He loved to drive like a mad man while blasting rock n roll and oldies music, terrifying anyone in the car with him. He wolf whistled when he wanted to get his family’s attention and you’d hear him coming before you saw him because of the soundtrack of his many jangling metal keys. He lived for breakfast, homemade cookies, salt, and slim jims. He was funny, fun loving, and cursed like a sailor even though he was in the Army. He was a proud man who tried to create the best life he could for anyone around him, most of all his family, who he'd run to the ends of the Earth for and back. He will always be with me. I’ll see him looking back at me through the eyes and smiles of my sons, by the light of the moon, and in a butterfly randomly flying behind the cash wrap in Old Navy. He will be missed beyond measure.
