Raymonde (Beaulieu) Soucy, 78, of Port Jefferson, NY passed away on Wednesday November 18, 2020. She was born May 4, 1942 in Drummond, New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Rioux) Beaulieu. She came to the United States when she was 16 where she later met her late husband Emerile R. Soucy of Lac Baker, New Brunswick, Canada and married August 13, 1960. They were married for 53 years.
Raymonde worked as a beautician, nail technician and esthetician. Education was important to her. As a loving mother raising her family she pursued her GED and continued her studies in the Beauty Industry. She graduated from the Patchogue Beauty School on November 24, 1965, completed a nail technician program in the early 1980’s, then graduated from Christine Valmy International School for Esthetics, Skin Care and Make-up on August 18, 1988. Striving for excellence in her field she always continued with her education and even achieved her dream of proudly owning her own salon. Another crowning achievement for Raymonde was attaining her US Citizenship.
She was extremely fond of her Canadian heritage and enjoyed visiting family with frequent trips to Canada. Some of her fondest moments were eating trout and fougère lakeside while visiting Norman and Germaine Soucy at their Lac Caron Camp. Playing card games with family and friends were her passion as well as gardening and, of course, shopping.
Raymonde is survived by her three children: Arlene Soucy and partner Johnnie, Robert Soucy and his wife Donna, and Ann-Marie Soucy; three grandchildren, Annabelle, Nicholas and Alexandria (Lexi).
The visitation will be Monday, November 23, 2020 at Bryant Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. She will be buried with her husband in Lac Baker, New Brunswick, Canada.
