Philomena Tedesco (nee Gagliano), 88, of Strong’s Neck, Setauket, NY left us on June 4, 2022. She lived a long, productive and fulfilled life. She was happily married for nearly 62 years to the love of her life, Philip Roy Tedesco, who passed away in 2018. Philomena, known to many as Phyllis, was born on June 8, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, and spent summers in Selden where she met Philip and had many wonderful memories. She was a medical technologist, held a patent for a medical procedure, and taught medical technology for many years. Philip and Phyllis were snowbirds and spent more than two decades enjoying the good life in Highland Beach, Florida. They were long-time members of the Old Field Club on Long Island, NY where they are sorely missed. Philomena spent the past three years of her life in Exton, PA to be near her children where she made numerous new friends and touched the lives of so many. Philomena’s three children were enriched by her strength, support and love; Roy (Susan) Tedesco of Kennett Square PA; Lenore Tedesco (Nancy Fribley) of Cape May NJ; and Philip (Nancy) Tedesco of North Kingstown RI. Her five grandchildren, Trever, Amelia, Leah, Taylor and Bronwen, were lights in her life and very dear to her heart. They share many fond memories and loved to spend time with her at the beach. She is also survived by her sister, Beatrice Gagliano of Fairfax VA. In addition to her husband, also preceding her in death are her sister Josephine Dieli, brother Innocenzo “Enzo” Gagliano, and parents Biagio and Maria “Mary” (Giunta) Gagliano.
