Melvin R. Migatz

Melvin R. Migatz, 86, of Port Jefferson Station died November 12. He was the beloved husband of Jean M. Migatz (pre-deceased); loving father to Joanne Downey (Daniel), Laurel Karbula (Adam) and William Migatz (Cheryl); loving brother to Bruce (Victoria) and Susan Hrubala (Rudy), adored Papa to Stacey, Michael (Kelly), Mark, Todd (Amy), Matthew, Meaghan, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. 

Melvin was a proud veteran when he met the love of his life, Jean. During his 57 years of marriage to Jean, he was a dedicated assistant scoutmaster, a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and an avid fisherman.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anybody in need and was known for his story telling especially those about Long Island history. Always dedicated to his wife, family, friends and country; he will be missed forever.
