Kate Connolly was the epitome of “great things come in small packages”. She was an intelligent, compassionate, charismatic woman whose quick wit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Kate was born in Missouri, where she lived with her parents Ruth and Judge Roy Harper, as well as her brother Arthur. She eventually made her way to the East Coast, attending Wheaton College outside of Boston. She ultimately continued her career and raised her children in Port Jefferson, NY. She later retired in Clearwater, Florida and spent her remaining years enjoying the sunshine with her two pups, and her daughter Brooke when she often came to visit.
Kate had a thirst for life and always knew how to see the joys in it, despite its many challenges. She always put her two children, Scott and Brooke Connolly, first. When Scott passed away in 2008, she continued to keep his memory alive, and despite the pain, remained a pillar of strength for her daughter Brooke.
Kate’s infectious laugh and spirit will forever be missed, but will live on in those that loved her. She will be greatly missed.
