Ezio Gregory Stefani was born February 8, 1932 in Lussingrande, Croatia to the late Giovanni and Giovanna Stefani. He died September 4, 2021 in Port Jefferson, NY after a brief illness. Shortly after arriving in the United States, Ezio served honorably in the Army as a Private First Class. Ezio loved the sea and was a career seaman as Chief Engineer for the Merchant Marines. He lived a life strong in his Catholic faith, tremendous in his personal sacrifices for his family, and admirable in his loyalty to friends and relatives across the world.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna Rosa Stefani. He is survived by his children Terry, Vivian, Lawrence, and Richard, grandchildren Stefanie, Mikhayla, Kara, and Ella, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister Anita. His brothers Armando, Luciano, and Monsignor Cornelio preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 13 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Bryant Funeral Home, 411 Old Town Road, East Setauket, NY. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 14 at 10:45am at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 429 NY-25A, East Setauket, NY to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, East Setauket, NY.
