I was only just told of the passing of Ed. He was such a kind man. I worked with him yrs. ago in the Singer Company. In fact, he was assigned to me to teach me a new computer program for the personnel department. He patiently taught me how to convert typed files to computer files. I later got to see him when we were both members of the St. George's Golf club. Always a big hello and grand smile on his face. We even went to St. James Church and saw him and his wife on occasion. Although he was in and out of my life, I will always remember him as a man of character, integrity and good humor. I am very sorry for your tremendous loss and feel very sad about this news.

Dear Maryann, Our heart is heavy with sadness and our thoughts are for you and your family. You are in our prayers. May the memories of great times together be a comfort. It is your happy memories that will keep Ed alive in your hearts and minds and his legacies will live on, We regret that we are not able to be with you. May he have eternal joy in Gods presence.

My heart is broken for the entire McAvoy family. What an amazing legacy Ed left the world with. I'm sure he's having a reunion with Nanny Mac full of love and laughter. xo

I am so sad that I won't be able to be there live to hug you all!! I feel so appreciative for the great memories of "uncle" Eddie and you all from my summers in Stonybrook in the 80's. Great smile and super hugs! My love to you all!
