Tribute

Cory Joseph was born on August 31, 1996 to Tammy and Douglas Gloe at Northshore Hospital in Manhasset.  Cory was Christened at Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church in Seaford, NY.  He served on the Youth Committee at the Farmingdale Library.  He graduated from Farmingdale High School in 2014 and attended Nassau Community College.

Cory and his mother Tammy had a special bond. Tammy loved and cherished him so much, she dedicated her life to him as he developed into a man.  They enjoyed traveling cross-country which included hiking and camping from New York to California (twelve National Parks in sixteen days).

For the first three years of Cory’s life, Tammy’s stepfather Tom and Cory had a bond so strong, the Sun rose and set around the two of them until Tom’s passing.

Cory had a lot of interests in life.  He was very loyal, spiritual, charming, handsome, and a jokester.  Cory loved RC Cars, his motorcycle, music, playing soccer, baseball, biking, football, track, snowboarding, paint balling and archery.  While on the archery league, he split an arrow! He played the violin from the age of three through the third grade when he then became an enthusiastic trumpet player with the Marching Band until he graduated from high school.  In addition, he loved animals and had three dogs, Noel, Charlie and Tazz.  Cory cared for animals and helped heal strays back to health including three Squirrels he fostered.    Cory was a Sea Cadet with the US Navy Coast Guard based in Massapequa.

Cory was passionate about being an electrician.  He felt it was his purpose in life.   Cory enjoyed both residential and commercial work with a zeal and eagerness in obtaining his Master Electrician License.

Cory leaves to cherish his memories, his mother and father, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and a host of Friends.
