Bette Verin

Bette V. Verin, 84, died August 28, 2017, while vacationing for the summer in Seaside Park, NJ. Born at home in 1933, she grew up in Raritan Township, NJ, and was later a long-time resident of Mt. Sinai and Scott’s Beach, Long Island, NY. Most recently, she resided in Fort Myers, FL, with her husband, Donald White, who survives her. 

She also is survived by three daughters, Kathryn Kempf of Montclair, NJ, Bobbi Kempf of Rocky Point, NY, and Norma Foti of Annandale, VA; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; her brother, Howard (Bud) Vroom of Davenport, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Norma Vroom Vlahides.

A Memorial Visitation will be offered Friday, Sept. 1, 2017 from 7–9pm at Bryant Funeral Home, 411 Old Town Rd., Setauket, NY 11733.  A Memorial Service will be offered Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017at 3 pm at Mount Sinai Congregational Church, 233 N. Country Rd, Mount Sinai, NY 11766.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Memorial Garden Fund of Mt. Sinai Congregational Church, North Country Road, Mt. Sinai, NY, or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
