Anthony John Baltz

Born March 10, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Died December 21, 2023 in Port Jefferson Village, New York.  Anthony is survived by his wife of 55 years Marie, 2 sons Edward and William, 3 grandchildren, 6 brothers and 1 sister, 6 nephews, 4 nieces, and numerous cousins. 

Anthony had a long 40 year career as a theoretical nuclear physicist at Brookhaven National Laboratory.  He made significant contributions to solar neutrino research, contributions to the RIKEN institute, and had a two year appointment at the Department of Energy.

His kindness and caring will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  

Visitation at Bryant Funeral Home will be held from 4-6 pm on Sunday February 18.

The memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook at 3pm on Monday February 19th.  The service will be live streamed.
