Tribute

Anthony "Tony" Citro, passed away on December 5, 2020 at 81 years of age.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gloria, his son Michael, his daughters Joanne, Christine and Deborah, and 12 beautiful grandchildren.  He is now reunited with his son, Anthony Raymond, in heaven.

Tony was a veteran who served in the United States Army, as well as a proud member of the NYC Fire
Department, retiring as a Captain in 1994 after 31 years of distinguished
service.   On June 16,1987,  serving as a Captain in Ladder 58, he
was awarded the William F. Conran Medal. He was described by one of his fellow
firefighters as  "a giant among firefighters. He was highly
respected, full of knowledge, and one of the bravest firefighters there was. It
was a firefighter's honor to work with him."

Tony enjoyed learning and trying new things.  Among the many hobbies he explored, his favorites were golfing,
fishing, boating, traveling, and photography.  He was also an active
member of  his church and community, volunteering for Hospitality Sundays
and Meals on Wheels.

Tony enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and always enjoyed a good joke.  His
children and grandchildren will forever remember his favorite: "What
happens when two ducks collide?  They quack up!"
