It is with tremendous sadness to hear such news. Like so many of my former colleagues at Northrop Grumman, many great memories of such a brilliant man. I new Paul for many years going back to the days of RVSI. Most of our conversations were not work related,( couldn't understand what he was talking about ) but were primarily about family, friends, golf and our lives at the time in general. He always had the time for a conversation and a reason to laugh . Thoughts and prayers to Kathy and all the family at this most difficult time. I am sure he will be sorely missed.

My Father,

A wonderful, intelligent man with a sensitive soul.
I will always remember throwing the football around with him in the backyard, teaching me how to run pass-patterns. Or smelling fresh-cut wood emerging from the basement as he crafted the occasional project on the weekend. He was always there for me in times of need, and he taught me the art of dry-wit, which I loved making him laugh with in return, from a student to the teacher. I will miss you dearly, we all will, and yet he would want nothing more than for everybody to get on with their lives, and live them to the fullest, just as he did.

See you at the 19th hole someday Papa.

Your Son,
Tom

What a lovely and inspiring tribute to a man who clearly knew how to live well.I wish I had known him, but I see a lot of his traits in his daughter Kristen, a good friend and writing colleague who certainly inherited her father's wry wit, love of her work, and appreciation of the natural world.

Paul was the last person to interview me when I applied to NGC many years ago. I’ll never forget that day, sitting in his office and listening to how much he loved his work. It was just like “doing a crossword puzzle,” so he would say. He was deeply influential in my decision to join the company, and served as something of a mentor in my early years, often graciously allowing me to pester him with ideas and questions. I came to know Paul as someone who was brilliant, and genial. I will certainly miss the occasions where I would see him at someone’s retirement. My condolences to his family.

I wanted to pass on my deepest sympathy to Kathy and the rest of Paul’s family. This is a sad day. I worked with Paul for many years, observing invention after invention. When you went to Paul with a problem, he always returned with a solution. Because of his great sense of humor, Paul helped make my days at Norden enjoyable. Paul will be sorely missed.

Dear Kathy, David, Kristen, Tom and Paul,
My deepest sympathy to you all on the loss of your husband and father. Just thinking about Uncle Paul always made me happy. He had a smile that lit up his entire face! I remember so many summers in New York with him and the entire Rademacher clan. He would grill burgers & the 7 cousins would run around and play in the big back yard, or we would go to the beach! He always made us laugh with that wonderful sense of humor! We miss you so much, my sweet Uncle! Karen

I wanted to pass on our deepest condolences to Pauls wife and family from the entire AN/SPQ-9B radar team at Port Hueneme, It was an incredible honor to have worked with Paul. His bright smile and whit will be greatly missed. He was always the life of any presentation that he was a part of and his work is protecting the lives of tens of thousands of sailors and marines every day on ships around the globe and will continue to for many decades to come.

Paul has been my mentor for many years at NGC. But more than a technical genius, he was like another father to me. I can discuss anything with him, about my family, about his family, about our points of views. We've spend many ours sharing our experiences and our aspirations. We shared each others joys and woes. But most of all, Paul, we share our lives over many years. I was blessed by your presence. You will surely be missed.

My deepest condolence to Paul's wife and his family. I worked with Paul on the AN/SPQ-9B radar program. Paul was a key member of the Northrop Grumman team and responsible for solving many tough radar processing problems encountered over the development of the radar. Paul was one of the most genuine and smartest engineers I've had the pleasure working with during my career as a government employee. I will never forget the 'passionate' engineering debates between two giants in the radar field, Paul Rademacher and Ben Cantrell. Thank you for your technical support throughout the years. And thank you for Paul Jr.! Nothing but good words are said about Paul among his NRL colleagues.

Paul was one of the pioneers in the field of radar design, one of the most challenging disciplines in modern engineering. It has elements of black magic, science, mathematics, and physics. Only a few have mastered this very difficult field, and Paul ranks up there with the best. It's not just technical brilliance, but ingenuity and dogged determination that get you from a passable design to an enduring product that exceeds all expectations. His friends and colleagues in Northrop Grumman and the US Navy will miss him greatly. I've known only a handful of people in my lifetime that I could ascribe the accolade of genius. Paul was one of them, and one of the few people who could inspire those around him to reach higher than they might have expected. In engineering, this is called "thinking out of the box." His wife probably knows better than most how many ideas seemed to come out of his mind, completely unexpected. It was an honor working with him. My sincerest condolences to his immediate and extended family.

A sad day for everyone lucky enough to have known him. I worked with him and felt blessed by his presence, knowledge, and guidance, which I really missed when I left Norden. Always loved his quotes on life which were right on, so I know he enjoyed his life with family, friends and co-workers as we all enjoyed being with him. Though I haven't seen him for over 20 years, my memories of all he was are as vivid as if I had just seen him yesterday.
He will be sorely missed and I would like to extend my deep and heart felt condolences to his family. You were all blessed to have him be a big part of your life and he will be with you, and in you, forever.

Dear Brother, you will be sorely missed by all your family, and by your big sister who shared so many great times with you. Remember sledding down Red Brick Hill in Hollis; riding the waves on Douglas Bay on Lake Champlain; your tangling a hornets nest at Bailey's boat house, & the family looking out our huge picture window & seeing you walking the beach with a nest of hornets in your hair! I believe we tossed you & the buzzers into the lake! My world will not seem right without you in it, but I rejoice that you are safe in our Savior's arms. Thank you for all you meant to me and to your wife and kids. Love you, little Bro, Jan
