Craig D. Holland
April 11, 1957 ~ May 31, 2017 (age 60) 60 Years OldShare Tribute:
The family of Craig Holland is saddened to announce his passing after a valiant battle with cancer. Craig was a family man, the loving husband of Maggie and devoted father of Georgia, Emma, and Jack.
Craig was passionate about sports, and was an active board member of the CYO program at St. James Parish in East Setauket. Craig loved coaching basketball with the local children, and he was happiest when he and Maggie were attending the field hockey, baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse games of their children. Craig was an avid golfer and horse racing handicapper, and Kentucky Derby Day just won’t be the same without him. A true raconteur, Craig will be missed at the dinner table of the many family gatherings where he presided over a lively, spirited, and never ending debate about politics and current events, sports and culture, and the prospects of the New York Mets. He was always ready with a funny joke, a sports story, and an encouraging word for his nieces and nephews.
Craig had been a Head of the Harbor resident for many years and had served the village as a member of the Harbor Planning Commission and the Joint Coastal Commission. A star football, basketball and baseball athlete at Rockville Centre’s Southside High School, Craig played college football for Bucknell University, where he was also Chapter President of Sigma Chi fraternity. He completed his education at Fordham University School of Law, and was a partner at Agoglia, Holland & Agoglia, PC, in Jericho, NY.
In lieu of flowers the Holland family requests that donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson.
