I will remember his smile, whit and discipline to play team sports at a high level and excell scholasticly.
He was a great guy, so sad to see him go so soon!

We are so very saddened to learn of Craig's passing. A wonderful wonderful person who showered us all with affection and support. Last year when I saw Craig, Georgia and Emma together after the Spartans game at Maryland, it was a beautiful picture of a very proud dad and his amazing daughters. The Holland family's loss is all of our loss. Our deepest sympathy to Maggie, Georgia, Emma and Jack.
Sincerely, Lorraine

Maggie, Georgia, Emma and Jack,
Sending our heartfelt sympathy. Craig was always such an encouraging and supportive presence during the years Sara and Georgia played basketball together and his support continued on through our Facebook exchanges as our girls went onto college and beyond. Nick and I loved following his witty postings and the tremendous pride he took in Georgia, Emma and Jack's successes! What a huge loss for us all but most especially your wonderful family! Hold each other close and know what a legacy Craig left! Xo Andrea, Nick, Sara and Jon Rizik

Dear Maggie, Georgia, Emma and Jack,
Although I did not know Craig personally, I am so shocked and deeply saddened to hear of your loss and the courageous battle he fought. A nun once told me this saying and I hope it might help you.She told me that a long life is too short and that a short life is miraculous. I hope his short life with you and your children was miraculous which I'm sure it must have been!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My condolences to to the Holland family. His kids should always remember that Craig was an exemplary example of a successful student; athlete; and fine young man. I was a year younger than he; and we played sporadically together and against each other in baseball and basketball in our younger years. Everyone in Rockville Centre knew and greatly respected who Craig Holland was without question; and in ways that obviously made a lasting impression for life. RIP.

Craig was a Bucknell friend of my wife and I. We shared many a beer and a few road trips together. While I only saw him at re-unions, it was like we were never separated by distance. My sincere condolences to the entire Holland clan. I regret I was unable to see him one last time at the Turri HOF ceremonies.

Dear Maggie and family,
On behalf of the residents and employees of the Village of Head of the Harbor we extend our sympathies at this sad time. We feel deeply the loss of one of ours. Craig was a man who loved the Village and who gave back to his community by serving as part of its government. We will miss his counsel and the calming influence Craig brought to complicated issues that came before the boards he served on. Craig was my role model when I first joined the Planning Board and I thank him for that.
All Head of the Harbor residents extend their appreciation to his family for sharing Craig's time he spent working to maintain the character and charm of the village.
We want his family to know that his time with us was memorable as well as important to our village life. We will miss Craig.
Our warmest thoughts are with you all.
Doug Dahlgard, Mayor

So many rich memories of this man, this Sig Chi brother of ours. A man who fell deeply in love with his Maggie, then a dad who couldn't get enough of his gorgeous and talented girls, and if that wasn't enough, the dad who was forever smitten by his "better self" Jack. Love you Craiger - prayers to you and your family now and always.

I am so truly heartbroken to hear this news. Craig was such a special person and he was a friend to me when many abandoned me. Over the years we only stayed in touch on FB but I delighted in following his proud posts of the many accomplishments of his talented and deeply loved children. I am so very sorry for Maggie and the children. Always wearing a smile and light hearted, Craig never shared with me his battle with cancer. I will always remember Craig and will miss his friendship and seeing him and hos family on Bald Head Island in the summer. Sending loving thoughts and prayers.

This news saddens my greatly. I knew Craig was destined for great things. He was my QB on South Side Junior High School's first undefeated football team. He went on to pilot the Cyclones to their successes. He was one of the toughest but definitely the smartest athlete I ever had the honor to coach. More importantly, he was always a gentleman. Prayers for his family. It was an honor to be a small part of his life.

Craig was one of the brightest and caring people I have ever met. He was also one of the most witty and funny. It was my privilege to have known him for the past 29 years through a Fantasy league a we were in together. He even stood in for me at a draft when I was recovering from a back surgery. Craig will be sorely missed. He was a great Family Man that was always talking about his kids or involved in fund raising to support their endeavors.

My sincerest condolences go out to his family and extended family as well as those closest to him. May you find peace in your hearts during this difficult time and happiness in his memory and in knowing he is at rest in a better place now.

Sincerest Regards,

David Sirles
