Mr. Arcadio C. Dela Peña

Arcadio “Dean” Dela Peña passed away on November, 11 2017 due to complications from severe
pneumonia.
Dean was born on November 17, 1945. He graduated from Mapua Institute of Technology with a
degree in civil engineering. In 1970, he immigrated to the United States and lived the American
dream. He married Milagros Maralit on July 23, 1972 and they had two children. The Dela Peña’s
moved to Long Island where Dean owned a furniture import export company (Axis Import Export
Corp.) He retired in 2011 and spent his remaining years devoted to his family and enjoying his
passion for golf.
Dean was a driven and intelligent businessman who loved and supported his family. As a proud
Filipino-American, he did charitable work for the Philippines as president of Mindoreños USA. He
was also the special coordinator of the Philippine Centennial Movement USA in 1998.
Dean is survived by his wife Milagros, his son Arnold, and daughter Pamela. He is preceded in
death by his brother Evaristo and sisters Mercedes and Aurelia.
Dean will be buried on November 20, 2017 at St. James RC Churchyard Cemetery in East
Setauket. The wake will take place on November 18, 2017 and November 19, 2017 at Bryant
Funeral Home in East Setauket. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dean’s life.
